About Brushy Creek Christmas Trees
The land for Brushy Creek Farms was purchased in 2001 by us, David and Linda Conovaloff after David retired from the Air Force and from Civil Service. We built a home and moved here later that same year with our two sons, Sam and Danny.
The land was badly over-grown and it took years of hard work to get it cleaned up. The first little Christmas trees were planted in 2004. That was the beginning of Brushy Creek Christmas Tree Farm. We found that new trees are very needy and the hard work continues to the present.
The hard labor (mostly David’s) finally paid off and we first sold trees in 2009. We have grown every year since, thanks in large part to our wonderful, faithful return customers.
We began with Virginia pines and continue to grow a lot of those, but we have added some other varieties, including some Blue Ice, Leyland cypress, and Murray cypress trees. The Leyland cypress and Murray cypress trees are hypoallergenic.
This year we will be trying some new things. We will have a limited supply of living Christmas trees. We will also be testing some new colors on trees (like pink!). Come early so you get a chance to see them before they are gone. These are not flocked trees and should really be something to behold.
We will open at noon on the Friday after Thanksgiving. We will then be open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from noon – 5p.m. until we sell out. We will have plenty of help on hand. Our sons (now grown) will help along with several other folks.
Come and enjoy the farm! Take a ride on the train, or just take a nice, relaxing walk.
We look forward to seeing you!
